CPR/AED - Level C - (5hrs) 
Courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen. Courses meet legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards, and include the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

Emergency First Aid CPR/AED - Level C - 1 Day (7.5hrs)

Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

 

Standard First Aid CPR/AED - Level C - 2 Day (13-14hrs) 

Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

 

Standard First Aid CPR/AED - Level C - Online Blended - (15.5hrs)

Standard First Aid CPR/AED - Level C - 8hrs Online and 7.5hrs in class

Oxygen Therapy - (1-2hrs)

Designed to provide participants (in-facility and health care providers such as nursing, care aides, dental industry, medical offices and pre-hospital care groups like fire departments, rescue teams, sports therapists, lifeguards, SCUBA divers, ski patrol, etc.), with the knowledge and skills to correctly identify when it is necessary to administer supplemental oxygen. Participants will learn how to properly and safely handle and assemble the equipment and how to correctly deliver supplemental oxygen through the appropriate delivery device. Course can also be combined with Basic Life Support.

Airway Management - (1-2hrs)

Designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to create a patent airway, the interventions to maintain it, and the equipment available to carry out these skills. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills required to provide the appropriate interventions, including measuring and inserting the applicable airway adjunct based on the patient’s condition. Course can also be combined with Basic Life Support training for additional certification.

 

Basic Life Support (BLS) - 4hrs 

Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course.

 

Advanced First Aid - 8-12 Day (80-120hrs) *depending on jurisdiction 

Building on the knowledge and skills within the Emergency Care for Professional Responders text, learners will gain the knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate patient assessments, interventions, and ongoing care in the workplace. The various options for transportation of an injured worker from the workplace to a healthcare facility are also covered. This course meets CSA Standard Z1210-17 First Aid Training for the Workplace.

WHMIS 2015 (Self paced)

WHMIS 2015 Online is based on the current 2015 legislation and meets the legislated requirement for general WHMIS training. Employers must also provide workplace-specific training and instruction for each of the hazardous products in the workplace.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of WHMIS 2015, participants will be able to:

• Understand the essential role WHMIS plays in protecting the health and safety of Canadian workers

• Identify the WHMIS responsibilities of suppliers, employers, and workers

• Know the workplace requirements related to the use of supplier labels and workplace labels, and how to locate and interpret the information found on these labels

• Recognize the WHMIS pictograms and the types of hazard each represents

• Recognize the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) as a source of comprehensive information about a hazardous chemical in the workplace and know how to locate various types of information when reading an SDS

• Identify the WHMIS exemptions for suppliers and importers

• Know general safe work practices that should be followed when working with hazardous products

Cannabis is the Workplace (Self paced)

Management Training: provides participants with information about cannabis in the workplace, focusing on the issue of impairment and providing practical guidance to help develop and apply appropriate and effective policies and procedures.

This course has been designed for business owners, organizational leaders, and those with management responsibilities.

Course Objectives:

The purpose of this course is to provide a foundation that you can build upon when understanding the facts regarding cannabis in the workplace. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:

• Know the facts about medical and recreational cannabis use in Canada

• Recognize the potential causes, signs, and effects of impairment

• Describe the health and safety responsibilities of employers and employees

• Understand the duty to accommodate, as it applies to the use of medical cannabis

• Recognize the limitations and challenges associated with drug testing

• Know the importance of having a workplace policy, and procedures related to impairment

Training for Workers: aims to give employees the best possible understanding of the differences between medical and recreational cannabis, their responsibilities when using medical cannabis in the workplace, and employer responsibilities. This course explains the laws relating to human rights legislation and the duty to accommodate employees who have medical authorization to use cannabis.

Who Should Take the Course?

Working at Heights** - (4.5hrs)

This comprehensive Blended Online WAH program is an effective and interactive way to keep you and your employees up-to-date with Working at Heights training requirements for construction projects in Ontario. The program delivers:

• Part 1 Theoretical (3.5hrs):  Basic Theory online (E-Learning) using multiple delivery methods (audio, text, video, interactive, etc.) to improve learner engagement (3.5 hours done online at the learner's chosen pace) This course is also compatible with most smart-phones and tablets! The Part 1 (Theoretical online) must be completed by the trainee before attending Part 2 (Practical Training).

• Part 2 Classroom Training (4.5 hrs): Practical Training is delivered in the classroom to provide workers with the hands-on, practical experience for working safely at heights.
